|
Allan's health and fitness industry involvement during the
past 20 years has encompassed many areas from working as a
freelance aerobics instructor in the early 80s through
to gym management and on to be a leading community and
industry educator. This has given him a unique insight
to the professional aspects of health and fitness industry.
Providing him with an opportunity to help shape the future
of a young and dynamic industry as well as enhancing and touching,
in a positive way, many peoples lives.

Development |

Over the past 20 years Allan has pioneered many
new concepts that have been responsible for increasing the
communitys standard of health and fitness at many levels.
He provides information and services to the general public,
medical specialists, corporate health organisations, university
students, fitness professionals and specialist sporting groups.
Since 1993 has played a major role in the on-going development
of the very successful GutBusters Waist Loss Program for Men.
Responsible for the conceptualisation and development of
GutBusters for Women.
Developed the physical activity component of the Weight Watchers
Australia
SUCCESS 1,2,3, program launched in 1998.
Updated and edited the content of the 1995 edition of the
Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreations
(ACHPER) NSW Fitness Leader Training Program, Fitness Leader
Level I.
Developed Networks* 1996 Fitness Instructor
and Personal Trainer Program, Fitness Leader Level II.
Developed / edited 4 courses for The Federation Internationale
des Sports Aerobics and Fitness (FISAF) which will set the
standard for Professional Fitness certification throughout
38 countries:
- Core Fitness Course
- Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer Course
- Aerobic Instructor Course
- Aqua Instructor Course
Developed the Walk, Talk and Learn Program, a community based
healthy lifestyle program.
Developed several units of the Fat Loss Leaders course levels
I & II - Bioenergetics, Exercise Biochemistry and Fat
Loss, Exercise Prescription
* Network is the southern hemispheres largest
association for Fitness Professionals. All courses are AFAC

Allan believes everyone has a responsibility to contribute
freely to the community. Whenever possible he provides his
skills to charitable interests. His crowning achievement to
date in this area was the instigation and organisation in
1988 of the Workout for Diabetes which between
1990 and 1994 raised over $100,000.00 net for diabetes education
and research.
